I am currently working on a project about people in our community who followed their passions. These photos are from a hot air balloon ride at dawn with Bill Baker, a pilot from Cary.

some favorite assignments
Troy Evert, of Lake in the Hills, Ill., plays with his pet ring-tailed lemur, Ringo, in his backyard. Ringo, who's 5 years old, is about the size of a large house cat and about to be evicted from his home. The AP picked this up which was cool.

Crystal Lake Central High School graduate Brittany Bromir hugs classmate Kelli Arigi after the graduation ceremony Saturday morning.
Fabric Images employees work on completing the Zaha Hadid-designed pavilion in Millennium Park to mark the 100th anniversary of Daniel Burnham and Edward Bennett's “Plan of Chicago.” The piece consists of more than 7,000 pieces of aluminum covered in fabric, and once finished, the walls will serve as a projection background for a film about the Chicago area and its future.
A look at the annual Taste of Chicago, always fun to cover.
