This week I had the opportunity to photograph and hang out with the cadets at the Denver Fire Academy for this story: https://red.msudenver.edu/2022/cities-and-suburbs-face-growing-wildfire-threat.html

An especially important job considering climate change and the dry American West. I had carte blanche access to wherever the firefighters were going.

Typically in a work day I am managing photographers and videographers, attending meetings, scheduling shoots, responding to questions and emails, editing photos and video, sending photos... the list goes on. It was a treat to shoot an assignment and so much FUN! 20 years into my career I feel very lucky I enjoy it as much as when I first started, and that I get to make a living taking photos, which to me is really just creatively observing.
