We found an off the beaten path that led us to this Monarch Cave Ruin cliff dwelling from thousands of years ago! We had the entire place to ourselves. It was pure magic.

Made a Memorial Day weekend trip for some nature time in the desert with longtime friends; I do love the big city life but will always be a nature girl at heart.

Utah is beautiful! It reminds me of Mongolia. Headed southeast past Moab to our yurt in Monticello right from the airport.

Follow the cairns! I learned something new. In the east, follow the trail blazes painted on the trees; in the west, these little stone towers to not get lost.

This is Virginia Halas McKaskey, owner of the Chicago Bears, eldest child of George Halas. I made a trip to Halas Hall, home of the Bears, for the Piccolo Awards, which honors Brian Piccolo, a former football star who died at 26 of cancer. Rush was part of this because of their work in cancer research.
