jalan alor

Jalan Alor. A bustling street with hawker stalls, foods of all kinds, taxis and motorbikes- it was the best part of our day in KL
 Amazing dinner

24 hours in KL

Everyone I had talked to said Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was not worth a visit, but the 24 hours we had there were a blast! Having no expectations of a place usually yields positive results.
First stop: Petronas Towers, tallest twin towers in the world
Malaysia is an interesting mix of Chinese, Malays and Indian people with Islam being the most common religious practice. Interesting to see primarily Buddhists and monks in Thailand and Laos to Muslims and mosques in Malaysia.
Next stop: lunch, again, a mix of cuisines
View from KL Tower
A relatively new city (c. 1850) with a population of about 1.6 million, the city is among the fastest growing economically and population wise.
