remembering an awesome friend

Here's a painting I sketched out in August of 2008 when Nate and Elena came for a visit to Chicago fresh off their honeymoon from the north. This stopover included many swims at Foster Avenue beach, delicious meals cooked by Nate, various variations on Uno, a trip to the free Stained Glass Museum at Navy Pier, and many other good times.
