china

I was fortunate enough to travel to China in October of 2007 to visit my friend Heather who was teaching 5th grade at an international school northeast of Beijing. It was awesome and we ate a lot of dumplings and I wandered around and took a lot of photos. I also taught a few lessons on journalism and would help Heather out in her classroom, occasionally yelling out answers from the back of the class. Highlights: the blind massage therapist we would go to, $5 for one hour, Happy Fun Beer in the corner market, which is apparently "very popular in the United States," bartering in the markets for knock-off goods, and eating scorpion, which tasted much like a french fry.
